The Gallery loses itself in hypnotic constellations before giving way to an Australian doof that’s taken on a Berlin flavour. Industrial textures cut through the Club, then Colombian percussion scratches the grooves of the vinyl.
Which stellar duo was born on this very stage two months ago? How does an Australian doof take on a Berlin flavour? How does a set become a political story? How does Colombian percussion become techno?

Ollie Lishman is a DJ and producer hailing from Melbourne, Australia, whose meteoric rise in the electronic music scene is propelled by his dynamic fusion of trance, techno and iconic grooves, captivating dancefloors worldwide. Drawing inspiration from the pulsating beats of 90s techno, hard house and trance, Ollie's productions have garnered widespread acclaim, earning him international recognition from esteemed figures such as Trym, Marlon Hoffstadt and DJ Heartstring, among others. His tracks have become fixtures in the global arena, featured in renowned festivals.
Ollie Lishman grew up in Naarm, the Aboriginal name for Melbourne, with the culture of bush doofs, outdoor parties put on by collectives in the Australian bush. He started on keyboard at around eight or nine, then guitar, before finding electronic music as a teenager. Now based in Berlin, he says the city has made his sound groovier, with more layers.
He calls his blend of house, techno and trance “Hot House”. After a first EP, Position Critical, he released Watch Yo Step in 2024 on Hot Meal Records, Bad Boombox’s label. He produces during the day and writes some tracks for a specific moment of his sets: the opening, the middle or the end. He also says he prefers European clubs where people keep their phones in their pockets.

Turin · from Bogotá · KAOS
@ruizosc1SoundCloudRA
Colombian DJ and producer from Bogotá, Ruiz Osc1 (Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz) has established herself on the international electronic scene through her refined vinyl technique and a sound she defines as “folkloric techno”: a blend of Colombian rhythms inherited from her childhood and contemporary electronic music. A Technics ambassador, she has performed at reference clubs such as Bassiani, Tresor and Fold, and has released music on Kaos and Molekül.
Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz grew up in Bogotá, with a mother who was a singer and a record dealer. In Colombia, she says, traditional music plays at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and every generation knows the lyrics. It was on arriving in Europe, seventeen years ago, that she truly discovered club culture and started mixing. She now lives in Italy.
For her, the link between Colombian music and techno runs through rhythmic language, and above all through percussion: that is where her “folkloric techno” comes from, part of her identity but not the whole picture, she adds. Her EP Techno Nostalgia, on KAOS, started from an edit of “It Just Won’t Do”, a 2002 track she had mixed with a techno record in the middle of a set. The crowd’s reaction convinced her that music can bring generations together. The other tracks were born on tour, sketched on an app while travelling.
